BMW is one of the manufacturers with a rich history of victories in touring car racing. The 3 Series, their flagship model, has consistently showcased its strength over the years. The BMW 320i (E36) was one of these models that dominated the touring car races in the early 1990s. It secured three consecutive championship titles in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) from its debut year in 1991 through 1993. Even in its final season of competition with the E36 in 1996, it demonstrated relentless speed, winning races at iconic tracks such as Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Oulton Park, and Snetterton, ultimately finishing second in the Manufacturers' Championship.

This is a plastic model kit recreating the BMW 320i E36 that won the second round of the 1996 British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch. The scale is 1/24, with a finished length of approximately 185mm and a width of about 72.5mm. The body style and design of the E36 are accurately represented. The interior features detailed modeling of elements like the roll cage, and the equipment, including seats and the dashboard, is finely reproduced, capturing the essence of its Spartan interior. Additionally, the underside of the chassis is well-detailed with separate parts for the suspension, conveying the secrets behind BMW's overwhelming strength in touring car racing.
