This is a set of optional parts for detailing ship models.
Fujimi brings us an amazing 1/200-scale model kit of the bridge of the fabled Japanese battleship, the Yamato, complete with photo-etched parts and a wooden deck sticker! This kit is made of pre-colored parts, so paint isn't necessary; it also snaps together so glue is not required. It's molded in a "warship gray" color, a color that imitates the color of the Kure Naval Arsenal. The kit is based on the final appearance of the Yamato from 1945; she's equipped with No. 21 and No. 22 radars on the upper part of the bridge.
The upper lookout post has been enlarged, and a waiting room for personnel has been installed at the rear. The signal flag deck has been expanded and machine gun firing equipment has also been added; the message post, the shape of which was revealed during the Musashi seabed exploration has been installed, as it is presumed that the Yamato at the time was also equipped with a similar system. The skylight slightly above the message post and the access hatch on the side are reproduced; the unique curved outer shape is reproduced from the remaining drawings. The front edge of the air defense command post reproduces the cover that was revealed during the Musashi seabed exploration.
A recessed window that would be a compass is reproduced in the center of the cover, and the cutout to avoid a binocular telescope is also reflected. The lens part of the 15-meter rangefinder is molded in white; the pillar of the 2-kilometer signal light is accurately reproduced as it shifts to starboard. (The azimuth antenna support is originally raised from the vertical surface of the rangefinder room, but due to mold limitations, it is omitted from the horizontal surface.)
The wall of the tower supporting the viewfinder is reproduced with more ribs that were strengthened in response to the lesson learned from the Musashi rangefinder falling off, and the starboard hatch is also reproduced. The hatch on the floor behind the air defense command center is accurately expressed with convex molding based on the remaining drawings.
