1/200 ANA B747-400D "Pokemon Jet 1999"

by Tomy
$15.58 USD $19.47 USD

This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.

The Pokemon craze escalated to the point in Japan where All Nippon Airways, Japan's largest domestic airline, painted two of their aircraft (a 747 and a 767) in a very colorful design rife with characters from Pokemon, with Pikachu featured prominently on the nose and tail. Now Tomy has released kits of these planes to the delight of Pokemon fans everywhere!

This 1/200 scale 747 measures about 34cm long when completed. The fuselage is molded in white, while the wings and engine parts are in gray. Huge decals (see below) include the blue portions of the markings as well as the characters, so no masking is required to complete the fuselage. A limited number of parts makes for easy assembly for even young modelers. Comes with display stand, too. Enjoy!

Special note about large decals: While the very large water-slide decals applied to the curved surfaces of this model should present no problem for experienced modelers, younger kids will probably have difficulty making them look nice. Parents will probably want to lend a hand here, and make sure they have a bottle of decal softener available to smooth these large markings out around the curves!
