This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.
From the manufacturer:
It was in 1984 that the McLaren MP4/2 with the reliable and fuel-efficient TAG/Porsche engine originally dominated the F1 World Championship season -- Alain Prost won seven Grand Prix and Niki Lauda won five, making a total of twelve wins out of sixteen, amazingly, using just three chassis.
The MP4/2 used a carbon composite chassis pioneered by the F1 designer John Barnard, which in many ways was a direct development of the original MP4/1. One of the big changes was an enlarged fuel tank to cope with the 1.5 Litre, 90-degree V6 TAG-Porsche turbo engine's thirst which produced around 750 bhp.
This model kit contains parts molded in white and black plastic, decals, and soft plastic tires.
