This is an injection-plastic racing car model kit.
This was the car that debuted in 1962, and that Jim Clark drove to glory in 1963, winning seven out of ten races -- easily one of the most important historic machines in Formula 1 racing. Tamiya's rendering does it justice, too.
The kit includes everything you'd expect from Tamiya: steerable wheels, rubber tires (with pre-marked "Dunlop Racing" lettering), full engine detail, removable cowl and body and a fully-detailed cockpit. Suspension details are predictably chrome-plated. Markings included for cars # 1, 4, 8, 18 and 23 (or any combination of these digits you care to apply). Detail is extremely crisp throughout. There are some annoying ejector pin marks on the exhaust pipes that will require a bit of work, but there is not much that can be done about that, design-wise. Definitely a kit that any F-1 modeler will want in his collection!
