Released in March 1998, the Subaru Impreza 22b STi version is a special car that has been recreated as a road car in the image of the Subaru Works Machine Impreza WRC 97, which achieved three consecutive victories at the time. Based on a coupe body, special front and rear fender panels and bumpers are hand-made and equipped with a specially tuned 2.2-liter horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine that can reach 280PS. Although it was a bit expensive at 5 million yen, the 400 units produced were sold out in just two days.
