This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.


Sd.Kfz.251 is the official designation of a medium armored personnel carrier developed by Hanomag in Germany. It was based on a 3-ton half-track, designed to allow infantry to follow tank units. Development began in 1937.

The Sd.Kfz.251/22 variant was created as a self-propelled anti-tank gun. Following an order to "produce anti-tank self-propelled guns using existing vehicles wherever possible," this variant was equipped with a 7.5 cm PaK40 anti-tank gun. Production began in December 1944, using the D-type base of the Sd.Kfz.251 armored personnel carrier.

Initially, the Sd.Kfz.251/22 was intended for use in tank destroyer battalions, armored reconnaissance battalions, and artillery units within panzer divisions. By February 1945, at least 95 units were completed.
