Sd.Kfz.251 is the formal number of a medium-sized armored personnel carrier developed in 1937 by Hannomark in Germany, based on a 3-ton half-track, to allow infantry to follow tank troopers. Like the Sd.Kfz.250, this car is the old model A to C, which started production in June 1939, and the new model, which started production in September 1943 with a simplified shape to reduce production man-hours, can be divided into Type D. While the A to C models are expensive to produce, the D model was mass-produced in response to the rapid increase in demand; the design was therefore revised so that only 50% of the common parts with the Type C were used. The Sd.Kfz.251/1 is an armored personnel carrier capable of transporting ten infantry squads, armed with a 7.92mm armament that can be mounted on a mantlet mount in front of the personnel compartment, and a machine gun mount behind the personnel compartment. The crawler is connected and movable; the engine is fully reproduced and the hood can be opened or closed. The lid on the box of the side of the vehicle and the rear door can also be opened or closed.
