Description
This is a set of optional parts for R/C military vehicle models.
We're still trying to find references (UPDATE: Found 'em! Thanks to Sherman expert Steve Zaloga!) for an HVSS Sherman mounting the potent British 17 pounder gun, but Tamiya seems to be way ahead of the game with the release of this fine turned aluminum barrel for its venerable R/C 1/16 scale M4A3E8 105mm Howitzer Sherman kit. The instructions suggest using the flash unit from their R/C Tiger I kit (sold separately), as the fiber optics flash cord supplied for the kit's stubby 105mm gun is way too short to reach the end of the long 17 pounder barrel. So, if you want to swap the high explosive bang of your Sherman's Howitzer for the armor-piercing punch of the high-velocity 17 pounder, now's your chance!
