This is an injection-plastic field gun model kit.
The 7.5cm PaK40 was an anti-tank gun used by Germany during World War II.
Developed starting in 1939 as a scaled-up version of the 5cm PaK38, the first prototype was completed in 1941, and mass production began in 1942. It became the main anti-tank gun for the German army during the latter half of the war.
Initially deployed on the Eastern Front to counter Soviet tanks, the 7.5cm PaK40 was also used in the North African, Italian, and Western Fronts, proving effective against American and British tanks as well. While larger caliber guns such as the PaK43, PaK43/41, and PaK44 were developed later in the war, the 7.5cm PaK40 remained the primary anti-tank weapon for tank destroyer units. It was also mounted on tank chassis to create self-propelled anti-tank guns such as the Marder I/II/III.
From 1941 to 1945, around 23,500 towed guns and 6,000 vehicle-mounted versions were produced. The PaK40 was also exported to countries including Finland, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
