The Toyama Local Railway Track Line extends north and south, with Toyama Station at its heart, serving as a vital transportation network. Commencing its north-south connection service on March 21, 2020, it has since become an indispensable mode of transport for Toyama residents.

During the era of the Toyama Light Rail, eight sets of the TLR 0600 series were introduced. In conjunction with the integration of operations with the Toyama Local Railway, while retaining the nickname 'Portram,' the series name was changed to the Toyama Local Railway 0600 Series.

Car number 0608 is the eighth addition to the Portram fleet, featuring a stylish silver body stripe.
