Description

This is an N Gauge private railway model.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation 7000 series refurbished cars were introduced in 1977 in preparation for one-man operation on the Arakawa Line. Originally, they were 7000 series cars introduced in 1954, but their bodies were replaced with newly built ones to accommodate one-man operation.

From 1986, they underwent air-conditioning retrofits, changes to the body paint, and conversion of the current collection system to pantographs. Another refurbishment took place in 2002, during which the destination indicators were updated to LED, changing their appearance. The cars were retired from regular service in 2017.

Currently, some cars continue to be used as the 7700 series after extensive modifications, and some have been transferred to other companies where they remain in service. This model reproduces the 7000 series car after body replacement and air-conditioning retrofit, featuring a front one-man display window and curtain-type destination indicators.
