This is an N Gauge private railway model.
Sangi Railway is a railway company in Mie Prefecture that operates two rail lines -the Sangi Line and the Hokusei Line- as well as bus services.
The Sangi Line, one of the original lines, was built primarily to transport limestone and cement mined from Mount Fujiwara in the northern Suzuka Mountains and began operations in 1931. Since 2006, it has been the only private railway in Japan to transport cement using freight cars.
Passenger service has also been an important means of transportation for local residents since its opening. After the opening of the Kintetsu connecting line in 1970, convenience greatly improved, and the line is now used by a wide range of passengers, including commuters, students, tourists, and leisure travelers.
The Sangi Railway ED5081 is a former Tobu Railway ED5080 series locomotive, which served on Tobus main line freight trains until the end of freight operations. Later, two units, ED5081 and ED5082, were transferred to Sangi Railway and have been operating since June 2015, mainly hauling freight trains between Tomida and Higashi Fujiwara.
For this model, the recommended motor unit is TM-ED01 (for electric locomotives), the running parts set is TT-05, and the pantograph is PG16 <0238>.
