Kobe Tram Type 1150 is a streetcar that was operated by Kobe Tramway.
The introduction of high-performance streetcars had been under discussion between streetcar operators and vehicle manufacturers, and in 1955, the No. 1151 and No. 1152, each with different specifications, appeared on the market.
These two cars were strongly prototyped, and various tests and comparisons of specifications were conducted,
A total of eight cars were in service.
From 1964 to 1968, the control system was converted from indirect control to direct control, the bogies and electrical components were replaced, and the train was converted to one-man operation.
From the time of its introduction, it was well known for its original design, and was in operation until March 1971, when all Kobe City Tram lines were discontinued.
Later, seven cars except for No. 1155 were transferred to Hiroshima Electric Railway, and as of 2023, two Kobe City Trams, No. 582 and No. 1156, are still in service with Hiroshima Electric Railway.
