Nagoya City's core bus system currently includes two routes, with one via Ichinomachi-dori (Nagoya City Transportation Bureau: Shin-Ichinomachi Line, Meitetsu Bus: Honchigahara Line), uniquely adopting the "center-running" method, rare nationwide. This route, jointly operated by Nagoya City Transportation Bureau and Meitetsu Bus, utilizes dedicated bus lanes and stops between Otsu-dori and Hikiyama.

Boarding procedures synchronize Nagoya City Transportation Bureau vehicles with Meitetsu Bus, employing rear entry and front exit, a prominent feature. Since the inception of joint operations by Nagoya City Transportation Bureau and Meitetsu Bus, specialized vehicles with wide four-panel folding doors have been utilized. However, due to the increase in non-step buses, Meitetsu Bus plans to retire these distinctive vehicles following the last of their fleet.

As the second edition in the Joint Operation Series, this product models Nagoya City's core buses. Nagoya City Transportation Bureau features Hino Blue Ribbon II from Omori Depot, while Meitetsu Bus replicates the Mitsubishi Fuso Aero Star from Nagoya Depot, each showcasing unique designs and the distinctive four-panel folding doors.
