The B-52 Stratofortress is a very large strategic bomber that has been in operation since 1955, and is still widely used by the U.S. Air Force. It was first put into battle in the Vietnam War; it's been more than half a century since it was first used, but various improvements have enabled it to continue to the present day. The most produced type has been the B-52TG; it carries new weapons such as anti-ground missiles which led to improvements in low-air invasion tactics. Its first flight was in 1958, and it began widespread operation the following year; it participated in the 1991 Gulf War, making over 1,500 sorties, including attacking targets in Iraq from U.S. military bases in the Indian Ocean. 

This kit from Minicraft includes newly molded parts for the weapons pylon on the underside of the wing, remote-controlled unmanned tail turret, detailed radar antennas, and various off-board weapons to reproduce the appearance of the low-altitude invasion version of the B-52; you can build it as either the early type from the 1960s or the later type used until the 1990s.
