This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Convair B-36B Peacemaker was planned during World War II, and made its maiden flight in 1946 as the mainstay of postwar nuclear strategy. When Britain was nearly defeated by Germany, a plan to bomb Germany across the Atlantic Ocean was initiated, leading to the development of the Convair B-36B. This aircraft features a pressurized passenger cabin and six semi-embedded quadruple radial engines facing backwards on the long main wing. It featured exceptional performance, such as being able to fly at an altitude of 10,000 meters over 600km, usually equipped with 4.5 tons, with a cruising power of 13,000km, and mounted with sixteen 20mm machine guns on a remote-controlled turret. For that reason, it was a very expensive aircraft, and had many restrictions on its operation. The Korean War broke out during its deployment period, but the B-36 was preserved as a nuclear deterrent against the Soviet Union, and it carried out no actual combat activities. 

This kit from Roden is of the early B type, with a concealed power turret above and below the fuselage. Although it's 1/144-scale, this kit will be about 34cm long when built. Decals for two versions are included. Order yours today!
