This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
Developed as an advanced version of the F/A-18C/D Hornet, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet began deployment in 1999. Compared to the C/D model, the fuselage is larger and the fuel tank capacity is increased to extend the cruising range. It was equipped with two F414-GE400 turbofan engines. In addition to the fixed armament of one M61A1 Vulcan cannon, a total of 11 hard points have been added to the larger aircraft, including air-to-air missiles such as the AIM-120A, and air-to-ground missiles such as the AGM-65E. It is said that most of the weapons used by the United States, such as bombs, can be used on this aircraft. This multirole machine takes on a wide range of activities and missions. The U.S. Navy attack squadron VFA-27, which was founded in 1967, has been operating the F/A-18E since 2004. It has been deployed at Iwakuni Air Base in Japan, and is a familiar sight there.
This model kit from Platz reproduces the single-seat F/A-18E. The parts are made by Dragon for a sharp finish and detailed panel lines. The landing gear and cockpit are also delicately modeled. Markings are selected from two types of aircraft belonging to the U.S. Navy Fighter Attack Squadron VFA-27, Royal Maces. Decals from Cartograf are included for the markings on each aircraft. The kit includes parts for two aircraft, and weapons such as missiles are also included. Order yours today!
