This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The F-16 fighter was developed as a U.S. Navy fighter, and is deployed all over the world. Making its first flight in 1974, it is characterized by a blended-wing body that integrates the fuselage and main wings. The world's attention was also captured by the practical application of an innovative fly-by-wire maneuvering system. Operation in the U.S. began in 1978, but since then it has been repeatedly improved and updated, and it still maintains and demonstrates the latest functions and performance. From Block 50/52, it is possible to equip a drop tank that can be attached along the back and a conformal fuel tank, which is often seen on aircraft equipped in each country.

Platz's latest model kit of the F-16C features easy-to-assemble parts made by F-toys, featuring the characteristic blended wing shape. Resin parts are included for the conformal fuel tank. The landing gear and other details are delicately reproduced for accuracy; decals for two versions are included-- a conformal tank-equipped test aircraft and an actual battle deployment version from Misawa air base.
