0 Saab 37 Bigen
The Saab 37 Viggen was developed as the successor to the Saab 35 Draken, and made its first flight in 1967.
It was produced from 1970 to 1990 and operated exclusively by the Swedish Air Force.
As a solution to the problems with the Draken, such as poor flight stability and exhaust damage to the road pavement when taking off from temporary runways such as highways (i.e., large angle of attack), a revolutionary design was adopted for the time: canards (front wings) were attached to the delta wing.
AJ37 also features a thrust reverser (reverse thrust reverser), which was developed and equipped independently, and enables rapid braking with a landing run distance of approximately 500 m.
The AJ37 is a ground attack mission-centered type that has been in operation since 1972, while the SK37 is a double-seat trainer type.
About the 0 product
The delta wing with canards and the thick fuselage combine to reproduce the characteristic shape of the Bigen.
Thrust reversers are selectable open or closed.
The kit is made of UV resin (3D printed). Instant adhesives are required for assembly.
Some parts may require shaping of the support material. If there are chips on the parts, it is necessary to correct them with putty, etc.
