Description
This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The La-15 is a fighter aircraft developed at the same time as the MiG-15, although smaller than the MiG-15, and equipped with the RD-500 engine, a copy of the Rolls-Royce Derwent. Hundreds of this aircraft were deployed as interceptors in 1949, but while it had better maneuverability than the MiG-15, it had a lower rate of climb. The design was complex, making production difficult and expensive, so the Soviet Air Force adopted only the MiG-15 the following year, and all La-15s were retired by 1953.
