The Heinkel He111 was developed as a commercial airliner in the 1930s, with the aim of having the performance of a high-speed bomber in the future. After the Treaty of Versailles was abolished, it was openly produced as a bomber and operated throughout the war. The H type featured an integrated windshield, and the main wing was tapered, making it more suitable for mass production. The H type was the most produced type, and in the latter half of its production, the bomb mounting method and electronic equipment were strengthened, and the engine was remodeled to a higher output version. About 1,200 H-16s were produced from 1943; about 800 of the H-20 type were produced, on which the back turrets were changed to a power-swivel type. The H-20s were mainly used for nighttime strategic bombing on the Eastern Front.
The upper turret in this kit is compatible with the H-16 fixed turret and the H-20 power swivel turret. Comes with decals for two versions (He111H-20 Summer 1944 Eastern Front + KM machine 4/KG53, and He111H-16 1942-43 Winter, Eastern Front, 1G + HK2/KG27). Order yours today!
