Adapted from the ACME website:
1967 brought the second year in a row that saw American seven-liter engine-powered cars winning the signature Le Mans race. The Ford GTs swept away the competition by winning not only Le Mans - which was Ford's third win in a row - but the World Championship as well. The following year was no different as the big-engined GT40s were back at Le Mans to do battle once again against Ferrari and Porsche. Ford ultimately pulled off a victory and beat the competition by a mere 100 yards at the finish line! ACME is proud to announce the 1968 Le Mans winner that was driven by Pedro Rodriguez & Lucien Bianchi in beautiful Gulf livery.
