This is an injection-plastic sailing ship model kit.
Don't read this if you love whales! Why, you may ask? Well, the Charles W. Morgan, named after a Quaker whaling merchant, is credited with catching more whales than any other whaling ship of the period! Entering into whaling service in 1841 and finally retiring with the demise of the American whaling industry in 1921, the ship put in a solid 80 years of whaling. Ya gotta know that's a lotta whales! The ship still exists today, and is currently on display anchored as a museum ship at the Mystic Seaport museum in Connecticut, USA.
Revell's highly detailed kit of the Charles W. Morgan features a detailed hull, a detailed deck with realistic wooden texture, billowing sails with rigging and tackle, detailed superstructures with deck details, an "extended whale flenching stage," and a display stand. Whales not included! Will measure 40cm (15.7 inches) long when completed.
