This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The T-4 is a secondary training machine for Japan Air Self-Defense Force crew members who have completed primary training on propeller plans to proceed to training for jet fighters, and is a subsonic jet machine developed by Japan as a successor to the T-33A trainer. In order to realize stable flight from low speed to high speed (transitional speed) a new transposition speed wing type is adopted. Due to its stable flight performance, each unit of the JASDF began deploying them in 1988, but it is also used by the acrobat flight team Blue Impulse. The T-2 is generally painted in normal gray; the 1st Air Corps, based at Hamamatsu Base in Shizuoka prefecture, uses the T-4, where it's active in training elite pilots who are responsible for the air defense of Japan.
This model kit incorporates easy-to-assemble parts by F-Toys; assembly requires simply fitting the main wing and tail wing into the fuselage, with no need for glue. A display stand is included, and the landing gear can be attached or removed. Decals by Cartograf are included for the 1st Air Corps of Hamamatsu Base, 31st Education Squadron, and the 32nd Education Squadron, as well as aircraft 656 from the Blue Impulse team from May 2020.
