Portrayed by Brian Tyree Henry, Phastos is the main inventory of the team, gifted with the power of invention by the Celestials; he secretly created tools and technologies to help humanity develop throughout the centuries. But when he witnessed the effect of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, he cried in  horror, blamed himself for the incident, gave up on humanity, and swore never to help or protect them again. Decades later, he met Ben Stoss, whom he started dating and eventually married. They had a son and went to live in a strongly protected house in Chicago. Phastos finally gained back his faith in humanity with the help of his family. He knows that, although there's a lot of bad in the world, there's also a lot of good too.
