About the Actual Aircraft:
The F-35 Lightning II is a new fifth-generation stealth fighter born from the U.S. JSF Joint Strike Fighter program. It features advanced high-tech systems and materials, providing exceptional stealth capabilities. There are three variants developed to suit different operational needs: the F-35A for conventional takeoff and landing, the F-35B for short takeoff and vertical landing, and the F-35C for carrier operations. Notably, the F-35C is the first stealth aircraft to be deployed by the United States Navy. It is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney F-135-PW-100 turbofan engine. The design is characterized by having the largest wing area among the F-35 series. It made its first flight in 2010 and began service with the U.S. Navy in 2019, serving as a new cornerstone of naval aviation.
