Tamiya's nicely detailed kit originally released in the 1980s, now reissued with decals for all the shuttles: Atlantis, Discovery, Endeavour, Enterprise, Challenger, and Columbia. This is the orbiter only -- the kit does not include the external fuel tank, solid rocket boosters, or launch pad, but it does come with a display stand. Includes the original parts for an ESA space laboratory in the cargo bay as well as new parts for a Multi-Purpose Logistics Module: Raffaello, Orbiter Docking System, Lightweight Multi-Purpose Carrier with two optional payloads, Ku-Band Antenna and an Orbiter Boom Sensor System. The cargo bay doors can be positioned open or closed, and feature chromed inner doors to replicate the highly reflective heat-resistant surfaces they have. Rudder and main engine nozzles move after assembly. Measures 37.25cm long with a wingspan of 23.8cm. Includes two astronaut figures.
