This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

An all-newly-tooled kit of the Russian BT-7 tank! Includes nicely rendered injection-molded link-and-length tracks, clear parts for the headlight lenses, hatch vision blocks, and the figures' goggles, a fret of photo-etched metal detail parts made of a secret, highly malleable type of metal, a metal chain, and two figures. Can be built with optional frame antenna on the turret. Markings included for 5 variations. Also includes an ingenious "press" to form the photo-etched grill for the engine deck...just sandwich the flat grill in between the plastic press parts, snap them together, and voila! The grill is pressed perfectly into the correct shape, and the secret new alloy Tamiya uses for the PE keeps the shape beautifully. Amazing! The model can of course be displayed without the tracks on to show it in high-speed travel mode, but the front road wheels are not steerable, and the tracks as provided in the kit cannot be shown stowed on the fenders in the way they usually (but not always!) appear in period photos. Includes markings for five variations: three Russian versions and one German version.
