From the Revell website:
Named after Florida's Pine Island Sound, WWII's U.S.S. Pine Island was a Currituck-class seaplane tender for the U.S. Navy. Like most seaplane tenders, the U.S.S. Pine Island served as a mobile repair base for large naval seaplanes. After WWII, she serviced aerial mapping aircraft in the Antarctic, followed by noble stints in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Kit features a one-piece hull, four 5" (127 mm) guns, twenty 1.6" (40 mm) anti-aircraft guns, a multi-piece Mariner seaplane, eight lifeboats, display stands and decals with official U.S. Navy markings.
Kit measures 15.5 inches (39.37cm) long when assembled.
