Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The only IJN vessel ever purpose-built as a repair ship, she was packed stem to stern with metal shops, wood-working shops, welding facilities and space for replenishment stores. Serviced hundreds of vessels until damaged and stranded by a U.S. attack at Palau in March 1944.
This re-release of the Akashi lncludes photo-etched metal detailparts.
