The railway is the most useful method to move and deploy large calibre gigantic artillery pieces. Among the many railway guns developed in history, the German 28cm K5(E) is regarded as the best railway gun ever produced. It was a new design from post-WWI and popularly known as "Anzio Annie", so called by the US troops who were shelled bitterly at the Anzio beachhead. Leopold was one of the twin "Anzio Annie" guns; the other was Robert, which was captured by US troops and which is now exhibited at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, USA. Dragon's kit is the largest injection plastic model of a single vehicle ever in 1/35 scale; the length, including railway wagons, is nearly 1m. The barrel itself is 380mm long, and consists of over 750 parts. The outer shell of the lower gun carriage is molded in one piece to ensure rigidity. Although the railway wagons are relatively simplified (though with no real loss in quality), the gun with its elevating mechanism is thoroughly detailed and workable. A photo-etched set for the exhaust pipe guard and steps are included. Six figures and railway embankment included, too. Decals are printed by the world-famous Cartograf.

We apologise for the super-high cost of shipping this item. This is simply the result of the size of the box -- it's enormous, and with all the plastic parts inside it's very heavy (over 4 kilograms!). We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
