Ace pilot Maximilian Jenius' distinctive blue-and-white Valkyrie made its first appearance in episode 27 of "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" TV anime alongside Milia's VF-1J and used by Maximilian until the very last episode. Marking its second 1/60-scale release by Yamato, this offering is totally revamped over its initial version using today's advances in toy engineering and production. The Valkyrie can switch between Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes, and has a tinted canopy for added realism. Armaments include two backpack missile pods, two booster packs, two arm-mounted micro-missile pods, two leg-mounted propellant tanks, six anti-warship missiles, four missile pods, four three-barrel anti-ground missiles, and a gunpod. The armor covers for the backpack missile pods, booster packs, and propellant tanks are removable to reveal the intricately detailed inner mechanisms. A sheet of marking stickers, canopy cover, and an in-scale sitting-pose Maximilian Jenius pilot figure are also provided.
