Packed with non-stop action, "Birth" (1984) was one of the very first OVAs, and helped get that new field off to a flying start. "Birth" showcased the work of super-animator Yoshinori Kanada, who was its character designer and animation director, and now Yamato salutes Kanada with this set of a "Birth" DVD (probably Region 2) and PVC figure of its star, Jupiter Rasa! Wearing her sleek suit with an attachable helmet, Rasa is aboard her Floater Bike (which can be repositioned thanks to the ball joint in the connected base), and of course she has companion creature Monger along for the ride. Packaged in a colorful display box with a flap that opens to reveal a window so that you can enjoy seeing the set if you'd rather not open it.
