"Welcome to Altair IV, Gentlemen. I am to transport you to the residence." And now Robby can with this great set from X-Plus! From the iconic 1956 science fiction film Forbidden Planet comes Robby the Robot, one of the most recognizable robots in science fiction history, at the wheel (or something) of his Altair IV transporter. Standing 17.5cm (about 7 inches) tall, this fully articulated die-cast metal model of Robby is very accurately detailed, aside from some holes for the phillips-head screws in his back that hold him together (he's dead-on accurate from the front, though!). Beautifully finished in Robby's standard black metallic color as seen in the film.

The transporter is accurately detailed in ABS plastic and realistically rendered in a weathered silver finish. Although not plainly evident in the photos below, Robby is a complete figure (with legs) that stands inside the transporter. Transporter grates open and close to let Robby hop in the driver's seat (or something). "Gentlemen, will you get in?"
