An interesting underwater version of the German Panzer IV tank, initially designed for "Operation Sealion," the abandoned invasion of Britain. Standard Panzer IV Ausf. D tanks were made watertight with various waterproof fabric and rubber fittings, plus a system of one-way valves for engine air intake and exhaust.

Tristar's Panzer IV Ausf. D Tauch is a convertible kit, and can be built either as a standard Panzer IVD or the Tauchpanzer version (in either "preparation for submersion" mode or "ready for submersion" mode!). Sharply molded in dark yellow flash-free styrene, the kit features separately molded tires for the road wheels, a nice fret of photo-etched detail parts, and a wire for the tow cable. Includes markings for five vehicles. An interesting variant for your Panzer IV collection!
