The LAV-R (Light Armored Vehicle-Recovery) is an all-terrain, all-weather vehicle with night capabilities. This vehicle is capable of safely uprighting overturned LAVs while minimizing any additional damage during recovery. It has the tactical mobility to reach and recover or support disabled vehicles, and is air-transportable via C-130, C-141, C-5, and CH-53 E. The vehicle can be made fully amphibious in three minutes.
Trumpeter's kit of the LAV-AT is sharply molded in light gray styrene with black vinyl tires. Markings are included for at least one vehicle. Fantastic detail throughout, with particularly spectacular chassis detail.
