A nicely detailed kit of the Swedish "S-Tank," the Strv. 103B. This unconventional tank was notable for its lack of a turret, with the L-74 105mm main gun fixed solidly in the hull. Aiming this fixed gun was accomplished via the tank's suspension, which could pitch forward or backward thanks to an intricate system of hydraulics to elevate or depress the gun. Traverse was accomplished by turning the vehicle. It sounds crazy, but given the intended strategy of being a defensive weapon, the lower silhouette achieved by the turretless design more than compensated for any lack of gun laying.
Trumpeter's wee kit of the S-Tank features good detail, with one-piece flexible belt-style tracks and decals for one version.
