1/72 Sd.Kfz.184 Ferdinand

1/72 scale is becoming the second battlefield for military model manufacturers. Trumpeter has made a raid with high-quality model kits featuring German armor. Their second release, the Ferdinand tank destroyer, gave us the impression of a precise miniature of the 1/35 scale kit! The design and concept, especially the division of the parts, are the same as the 1/35 scale kit. It has separate suspensions and individual wheel discs. Tracks are of the partially-linked type made of black injection plastic. Amazingly, almost all the small details like hooks and brackets are molded separately. So the total number of parts is a whopping 257 pieces, even though the finished kit is a mere 112mm long! The opening of the holes at the front and sides of the muzzle brake has now become the standard for this scale, thanks to Trumpeter! A photo-etched set for engine grilles and brackets is included (no figures included).
