Commissioned in 1934, the US Navy cruiser San Francisco was the second ship of the New Orleans class. It was present at and survived the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941, and then served valiantly throughout the Pacific War, receiving a total of 17 battlestars, the second-most decorated ship in US Naval history. It was decommissioned in 1947.
Trumpeter's kit of the San Francisco depicts the cruiser as it appeared in 1944. Can be built either full-hull or waterline, and includes a stand with nameplate for the waterline version. Will measure 51.2cm long when completed.
