Looks like it's time to retire those old Matchbox kits! Trumpeter has basically scaled down their 1/48 Wimpey kit to give us this very nice 1/72 version--and let's face it, how many of us have room for a 1/48 twin-engine bomber on our shelves? This kit has a very complete interior, from the nose turret all the way to the tail turret, including beautifully done engines and landing gear. The one oddity is that a complete bomb-bay is provided but no bombs, and the doors are only supplied as a one-piece molding in the closed position. However, with a bit of elbow grease and some spare bombs this oversight should be fairly quickly corrected for those wishing to show off this area. Decals are included for two aircraft, OJ W of No. 149 Squadron and GR H of No. 301 Squadron.
