Cybertron Hot Rod (a.k.a. Hot Shot outside of Japan) from the "Transformers Armada" anime makes his much-anticipated appearance in Takara Tomy's "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" toy line with this super-fun, super-poseable offering! Capable of switching between his sports car and robot modes, this transformable toy of Hot Rod features a pair of missile-launching guns, chrome weapon and engine, plus a clear part at the back of his head to allow light to shine through and light up his eyes! He is accompanied by Micron Jolt that's transformable between his helicopter and robot modes, and his helicopter mode can be connected to Hot Rod in vehicle mode.

Initially released in the U.S. in Hasbro's "Transformers: Universe" toy line, Hotrod and other Transformers in this "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" line are redecorated by Takara Tomy for the Japanese market with a different color scheme for a more accurate resemblance to their counterparts in the "Transformers" animated shows. Each toy in this series also features chrome-plated parts and comes in Japanese packaging.
