After its first release in 1969, Tamiya is proud to re-release the Apollo Space Craft in celebration of its 40th year anniversary. The Space Craft was used by NASA during the famous Apollo Program. The Apollo Space Flight Program ran from 1961-1975, set up for the purpose of getting a man on the moon. The Apollo Space Craft featured two sections: the Command & Lunar modules. When separated from the Lunar Module, the Space Craft flew above the moon patiently waiting for the below astronauts to return.

Tamiya is re-releasing its Apollo Lunar Spacecraft kit after 40 years since its first release to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first ever manned moon landing.

• Kit contains Command, Service, and Lunar modules.
• The Lunar Module has detachable ascent and descent stages and can be docked with the Command Module.
• Gold aluminum foil to depict the thermal blanket is included.
• Separate display bases for the Lunar and Service modules are included.
