1/35 US 2 1/2t 6x6 Cargo Truck Red Ball Express

"Red Ball Express" was an US Army's logistic operation eatablished late 1944 to bring military supply from the beachhead in Normandy to the troops at ever-on going front line by the huge number of trucks. It was one of a great epoc in the military history. This kit is a combo set of a vehicle and figures representing the scene of a small stop somewhere beside the supply line. Set is consist of a 2 1/2 ton 6x6 Cargo Truck (originally TAM35218), two sprews from Allied Vehicle Accessory Set (TAM35229) and two figures from Tank Transporter "Dragon Wagon" (TAM35230). Very useful and reasonable set for diorama builders. But the real situation of the "Red Ball Express" was very hursh. Modelers have to find more supply materials to reproduce the over-loaded trucks and add african-american soldiers who acted as the mainstay of this operation.
