This is an injection-plastic detail parts set for use with aircraft kits.

Tamiya's "newest" addition to its line of 1/48 vehicles is this U.S. Navy moto-tug. If it looks familiar, it is because this is the same tug previously included in a boxing of their F4U-1D. Typical of Tamiya, the parts breakdown is simple and will result in a fast build, yet without any sacrifices made to detail. In addition to the tractor itself, you get two tow bars (one for towing by the tailwheel and another for towing by the mains), two chocks, a driver figure and a seated pilot figure. Although not shown in the instructions, figuring out assembly of the pilot should be easy - just look in the mirror if you need help with determining which parts go where! Since you never tow an aircraft without someone in the cockpit to ride the brakes, the pilot figure should be considered a vital part of this set. If you like to pose your 1/48 WWII USN aircraft on a flightdeck or flightline base, you will want this to add a little "action" to your display. You could probably also get away with using this with USAAF fighters as well, if anyone asks just say your model is depicted as when it transited NAF Somewhere-or-other, and dilemma solved.
