Tamiya's 1975 Lancaster kit sees the light of day for the first time in years - this time with spinning props courtesy of four micro-motors. Comes with pre-made wiring harnesses - just plug and go. The complcated "greenhouse" canopy comes with the framing pre-painted. A really fun twist on a classic kit.
Though the kit is showing its age (all surface detail is raised, and there are some fit and accuracy problems), it's still quite buildable and a good modeler can turn this into a spectacular creation. This version comes with four crew figures and all the special ordnance and fuselage parts needed to model either one of the famous "Dambusters" planes, or the modified Lancaster carrying a 22,000 lb. "Grand Slam" weapon. Markings are provided for two different No.617 squadron aircraft and for any of the Dambusters aircraft.
