Let's be honest here -- this kit is quite a bit better than Hasegawa's 1/48 P-47 primarily because Tamiya had that kit to study when tooling this one. The overall level of detail is a full step higher; note the turbocharger details under the tail fairing (the Hasegawa kit is just smooth plastic here), and the fuselage shape just looks more like the real thing. Kit allows you to position wing flaps, cowl flaps and turbocharger flaps in either up/down or open/closed positions, and also comes with three different propellers, rear-view mirrors and gunsights. Two types of drop tanks, bombs and rocket launchers also included. Two marking schemes, the one seen on the box art, and "Spirit of Atlantic City" from the same 56th fighter wing. Highly recommended!
