This brilliantly sculpted and molded 1/16 scale figure kit by Tamiya depicts an Imperial Japanese Navy fighter pilot as he would have appeared during the early stages of WWII, a time when many such pilots were enjoying victories in their Type 21 Zero Fighters. The exquisitely molded flight suit and life jacket are complemented by separately molded collar, flight helmet, goggles (with clear lenses), gloves, boots, and military sword. The expressive face is particularly well-sculpted, needing only some paint to fully bring it to life. Markings are included for uniform insignia and name tags, and the figure can be built in one of two poses.
