The French Char B1 bis was the most formidable tank of early WWII. Its 75mm gun and thick 60mm front and side armour (55mm at the rear) proved a great threat to its adversaries, such as the early-mark Panzers. Tamiya shows off the excellence of their molding capabilities again with this this brilliant offering. The large upper hull is molded in one piece using sliding molds to fully reproduce hundreds of rivets on the armor plates. The tracks, a rather complicated design, are individually molded injection-plastic parts. But don't worry -- you won't face hours of tedious assembly, as they snap together easily "in 10 minutes" (says the kit's designer!). Several optional parts for track guards and exhausts are included, too. One commander figure, Tamiya's first-ever WWII French Army soldier, is included as well. The towing chain is supplied as a real metal chain. Four sets of markings and complete color illustrations to help you with the finishing work are also inclued in the box.
