This was the Allies' introduction to the famed German Tiger I heavy tank, as it appeared deployed in North Africa. This 1/48 release by Tamiya depicts the initial production model, featuring different front and rear fenders, air filters and exhaust covers as compared to the later production models. One tank commander figure in tropical uniform and markings for two vehicles are included. The model has a die-cast chassis and link-and-length injection molded tracks as is the standard of this series.
